No-flights screen and clock
Choose what a FlightWall shows when no flights match, and configure the clock.
When no aircraft match your area and filters, the display shows a no-flights screen. Set it under Display Layout, in the No Flights Screen section.
The three dots
Three animated dots are the default no-flights screen, named Ellipsis. They mean the display is working and has nothing to show. The Wi-Fi is fine.
A clock with no flights around it means the same thing.
If you see this more than you expect, your tracking area is quiet or your filters are too tight. Work through Display problems.
Choose a style
| Style | What appears |
|---|---|
| Ellipsis | Three animated dots. The default. |
| Text | A short message. |
| Blank | Nothing. |
| Clock | The current time. |
Pick Blank and an idle display looks switched off. Keep that in mind before reporting a dark screen.
Clock settings
Selecting Clock opens the rest of the clock options. Reach them again later with Edit clock settings.
Clock Style is Default or Large. On a Mini, long text can be cut off in the Large style.
24-Hour switches between a 24-hour and a 12-hour clock.
Seconds shows or hides seconds.
Show date draws today's date next to the time.
Additional timezones adds up to two more zones beside the primary clock,
each with a short label you write yourself, such as NYC or TYO. Crews and
anyone tracking family abroad use this.
Timezone
Timezone sets the zone the clock uses. Set it under Edit clock settings.
Automatically adjust for daylight saving time applies DST where the zone observes it. The toggle is disabled for zones that do not observe DST or where automatic adjustment is unavailable, and the app says which case applies.
The sleep schedule follows the clock timezone by default. You can give it its own zone instead. See Brightness and sleep schedule.
The clock may print a timezone abbreviation next to the time. Which abbreviation appears is not something you can change.
Select Save in the device header when you are finished.
